Drawing from art and nature at the Getty Center museum and gardens
Join us at the Getty Center for a walk-and-draw session.
We’ll wander through the galleries and the beautiful gardens, drawing from art and nature.
We’ll start with a short introductory talk, then some warm-up exercises, followed by observational drawing.
We’ll discuss color, mark making, composition, drawing from art and nature, maintaining a sketchbook practice, and developing your drawing style.
There’ll be time to share our work, exchange feedback, and chat.
These weekly rambles invite you to slow down, explore the museum and gardens, get inspired, and capture the beauty of the seasons through drawing.
This experience is for curious nature lovers, slow travelers, and locals. No prior drawing experience is necessary.
Small group sizes (max 4 people).
