Rambles with a sketchbook at the Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden
Join us at the beautiful Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden for a walk-and-draw session inspired by nature.
We’ll wander through the garden, stopping to observe and sketch beautiful flowers, plants, trees, and wildlife.
We’ll start with a short introductory talk, then some warm-up exercises, followed by observational drawing.
We’ll discuss color, mark making, composition, drawing from nature, maintaining a sketchbook practice, and developing your drawing style.
There’ll be time to share our work, exchange feedback, and chat.
These weekly rambles invite you to slow down, capture the beauty of the seasons through observational drawing, enjoy the fresh air, and make new friends.
This experience is for curious nature lovers, slow travelers, and locals. No prior drawing experience is necessary.
Small group sizes (max 4 people).
